These were the last pre-decimal currency coinage issued to New Zealand. They have been struck to specimen specifications on polished dies. These coins have denominations in the old system of pounds, shillings, and pence. In this system, 12 pennies equal 1 shilling, and 20 shillings equal 1 pound. The coins range in values of half penny, 1 penny, 3 pence, six pence, shilling, florin or 2 shillings, and a half crown. Please view photos and feel free to ask questions.
