Sorbothane itself reduces vibration by 94.7% and combined with the heavy industrial grade rubber feet, vibration is further damped due to the different physical characteristics of the Sorbothane and the rubber parts. While the turntable was floating on these springs I had an excellent protection against whacking, the Sorbothane/rubber combo in this ad supersedes the sound quality of the rubber-and-spring setup by a large margin.<br>The feet will arrive pre-assembled; you just need to screw them in the original hole in the particle board. For optimal performance tighten the screws to the point where you can still effortlessly rotate them by hand.
