Hoboken Police Department announces crackdown on speedy e-bikes

The Hoboken Police Department is cracking down on those speedy electric bikes that are whizzing around the city unregistered, Police Chief Steven Aguiar announced Friday, the city’s latest initiative to curtail e-bike violations.
The new initiative is aimed at creating safer streets ― and sidewalks ― as well as regulate high-speed e-bikes and make their riders accountable.
